Do you know “ZEN”?

Human being think selfish.
This behavior makes “Kleshas” like worries,anger,resentment,jealousy and desire.
ZEN can remove all Kleshas.

Steve Job met ZEN in 1970’s and visit KOKE-DERA(temple) incognito in Kyoto with his family.
Zen had a great influence on him.
※Next I will tell you about KOKE-DERA. Here is a World Heritage! so beautiful!

If you have interested in ZEN, please visit “SHUNKO-IN”.
You can experience ZEN with English explanation.

In JR kyoto station, you can see LED sign steps names “daikaidan” in einglish,’big steps’.

This is the steps.

Total 171 steps!
length 70 meters!
difference of elevation　35 meters! around 11th floor of buildings!!!

This theme is “St. Valentine’s Day”

This theme is changed in seasons.

Do you know where is this?

The answer is…『Kinkakuji』
Covered in Gold!! Gorgeous!!
KIN means GOLD. So everybody says 『Kinkakuji』but formal name is『Rokuonji』!
Actually I didn’t know!! Surpreise!!!
Maybe, most of Japanese don’t know formal name.

On the other hand,

This is 『Ginkakuji』.
GIN means SILVER.
But this is not covered in Silver.
Formal name is 『jishoji』.Of course I didn’t know…
Ginkakuji is world heritage and famous as beautiful garden!

Let’s check gorgeous gold and silver with beautiful garden!

Fabulous!!
This is 『fushimi inari taisha』in Kyoto.
It is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings.

This is also symbol of fushimi inari shrine.

What is this?
The answer is… FOX! not dog.

You must-visit Fushimi Inari Shrine!!

Today’s spot is…

『KIYOMIZU dera』

The main hall constructed over a cliff and featuring a large wooden veranda
supported by 139 pillars, each 49 feet high！

In Japan there is a word “Jump off from the stage of KIYOMIZU”.
there is a stage that was made by the overhang on high cliffs.
About 300 years back,Jump off from the cliff and settled without injury at the time of your wish will be achieve,
or you can go heaven, so total 234 people throw himself/herself from the stage.
About jump off the stage, mean “prepared to die”.
But nowadays we use this word as proverb like this　↓
When you buy expensive one, for example, when I buy Harry Winston diamond ring,
“I jumped off from the stage of Kiyomizu to buy Harry Winston diamond ring!”

Please check yourself how high the stage of Kiyomizu!
But do not jump!!!!!!!

Today is…『Sagano senic train』.Sagano is a name of place.

This is a train.

Sagano train is a tourist train about 25 minutes ride leading to Kameoka Tamba
along the Hozu valley to base the Sagano.

Near Arashiyama station,there is 『Bamboo grove road』.

Here is very cool　even in summer!

It is very whimsical.

When you return from Kameyama to Arashiyama,
You can ride 『Hozugawa river boat』.
This is very exciting! and you can back to Togetsukyo.

『Arashiyama』is beautiful place and we can enjoy through the year,
spring,summer,autumn,winter.

This is 『Togetsukyo』(name of bridge).

this is the most famous place in Arashiyama.

In summer, green is beautiful!

Everybody enjoy walking in the river.

In spring, you can see full of cherry blossoms!

In autumn,　Leaves turn red.

In winter, you can enjoy 『Hanatouro』at night.
