National holiday New year’s day
New Year’s Day is the special holiday for Japanese.
New Year is called “Oshogatsu”.
Family and relatives get together and eat traditional dishes.
Traditional dishes is called “Osechi”

Most Japanese go to a shrine to pray for luck during the new year.
so busy!
From 1st to 3rd of January, most companies and schools is off.
But department stores and other shops are usually open and crowd with customers
because of the first sales of the year!
If you stay in New year’s day in Japan, please try to go shrine and department store.
This is real Japanese culture!
