This is one of my dinner at home.
my dinner

1. Rice with sweet potato and kelp(kombu) and black sesame.
2. Miso soup with onion and sweet potato and leek.
3. Chicken and taro(sticky potato) stew.
4. Beer!

Today was Japanese style.
This is my normal dinner not gorgeous…
All potato!!!
All carbohydrates…

There are famous shrine in Japan that is “Ise Shrine” in Mie prefecture.

Here is far from main cities but have worth visiting.
Today, I tell you about famous Japanese confectionery in Ise Shrine.
That is…
akafuku
“akafuku”. rice cake with red bean.
This red beans is right degree of sweetness and rice cake is so soft!
Taste becomes addictive!

There are main shop of Akafuku in Ise shrine.

Now you can buy akafuku at station,airport,department in Nagoya,Osaka,Nara,Kyoto etc.

I watched one TV program in Japan.
US people try to eat Japanese snacks and determine which is the best for US people.

No.5 “FU”

Brown sugar fluffy sweets of Japanese Fried-dough…It’s very difficult to explain.
Taste is sweet and inside is like a cotton candy.
Brown color is brown sugar.

No.4 “baby star ramen”

This is a chicken flavor dry noodle. You can eat noodle without hot water.

No.3 “Umai bo”

Everybody says ‘like cheetos!’

No.2 “Miyako kombu”

This is a kelp.
This is also difficult to explain… It is mixed sweet and sour taste.
Everybody says good for health.

No.1 “kinako bo”

This is a rice cake with soybean flour.
Japanese traditional sweets.
Sweet and healthy!

All snacks you can buy at convenience store like seven eleven, family mart, lawson etc.

Now, crab is in season.
So, I traveled to Kasumi,Hyogo to eat crab.
Actually I go to Hyogo to eat crab every year in January.

I was in the mood to splurge.

If you come to Japan in this season, I strongly recommend to try to eat crab!

Japanese food Motsu nabe

Motsunabe is a type of nabe (a pod) in Japanese cuisine,
which is made from beef Innards,the colon.
A hot pot is filled with soup, prepared the colon and boiled for a while,
cabbage, Tofu, and garlic chives are added.

Especially young ladies loves Motsunabe because the colon has a lot of collagen!!!
For beauty!

After we ate all ingredients in pod, we put noodles and eat.
This is also nice!!
Please try.
Fukuoka is the most famous but you can eat everywhere in Japan.

“B-grade gourmet” means the casual dining enjoyable with reasonable price
such as curry rice, ramen (noodle), chow mein… and so on.
Ordinary but tasty !!
Japanese loves B-grade gourmet.

“Kushi katsu” is ‘deep-fried breaded meat or vegetables on skewers’
or ‘Japanese style of deep-fried kebab’.

Dip kushikatsu in Worcester sauce and eat it.
A cabbage also dip in Worcester sauce.
No double dipping, please!!

Worcester sauce is more popular in the western Japan.
So kushikatsu is famous in Osaka.
Osakan food like “Takoyaki” and “Okonokiyaki” also wat with Worcester sauce.

Today’s Japanese food is…
Noodle
『Ramen』= Noodle.

Ramen is a Japanese noodle and soup dish.
Ramen noodles are made by mixing flour, salt, food additive alkaline water, eggs and other ingredients.
There are various different shapes of noodle for example, straight, curly,
which is suited to different kinds of soups that vary in texture and thickness.
Soup stock for ramen may be made from seafood, chicken bones, pork bones, etc.
It is seasoned with soy sauce, miso, salt, etc.

Instant noodles with freeze-dried vegetables and soup are sold in a plastic handleless cup.
Just pour hot water into the cup and wait for three minutes!
That’s it!!
