Hakone is very famous for hot spring.
Many tourists not only Japanese but also foreigners visit Hakone.
The scale of the earthquake becomes big, and the Meteorological Agency says that
volcanic activity becomes more active in Mt. Hakone.
Some mountain trails have been already closed.
But the big change is not seen in volcanic activity.

5th May is national holiday as “children’s day”.
This is a celebration for boys.
Boy’s parents display colorful carp banners or samurai helmet.
in Japanese “Koinobori”.
This pole is 5-6 meters tall, on windy days, the carps look like swimming in the sky!
in Japanese “Kabuto.
Many parents display them hoping that children will grow up with health and happiness.

Yesterday was holiday so
I had a barbecue party!
Total 2kg beef,poak and chicken! for 8 people!!
But we couldn’t eat all…
Here is “Hattori ryokuchi” in Osaka and huge park and has pool, children’s playground,tennis court and you can enjoy horse back riding!
Some of place can enjoy BBQ.
Before eat…

This is eggplant, pumpkin, shiitake mushroom, beef and wienerwurst.
After eat main BBQ, we start to cook “Yakisoba”.
This is typical japanese style!
We BBQ party lasts from 11:00am to 16:00pm!
In this season is the best to enjoy barbecue.

1. Rice with sweet potato and kelp(kombu) and black sesame.
2. Miso soup with onion and sweet potato and leek.
3. Chicken and taro(sticky potato) stew.
4. Beer!

Omikuji can buy in shrines and temples.
This is a omikuji.
Omikuji = Draw your fortune.

My total luck is “Great blessing” (大吉 daikichi)!
“Daikichi”(great blessing) is the best, and “Daikyo”(bad luck) is the worst.
And this paper shows about my study,marriage,transfer,health,love…etc.
It’s costs only 100yen(the most of shrines and temples).
When you’ve picked the “Daikyo”, you have to tie it like below.
If you draw lucky, you can carry.

Everybody says “The Japanese works hard!”
That’s right!
But in this Japan, there are holiday week called “Golden week and silver week”!
In this year,most of companies will close from 2nd May to 6th May.
This is Golden week.
Normally,Working time in Japan is 5 days a week.
Saturday and Sunday is off.
2nd May…Saturday (weekly off)
3rd May…Sunday but Constitution Day (national holiday)
4th May…Greenery Day (national holiday)
5th May…Children’s Day (national holiday)
6th May…a substitute holiday of Constitution day.
Many Japanese go somewhere to travel with family.
Because it is very difficult to get off on normal day.
So there are no chance to travel except this Golden week.
But in this season, it become expensive travel fee, hotel fee…etc.
So you’d better to come to Japan except this holiday.
Because there are many people all over Japan like Easter!!

Most Japanese suffers from pollen allergy.
This is the “national malady”.
There are many kinds of pollen allergy,
cedar,cypress,rice, ragweed… and so on.
Especially from March to First of May,
it’s really hard…
keep on sneezing, fever, like a cold.
So, many peaple wearing a mask to prevent pollen.
Sometimes this mask is useful for ladies because no need to put on makeup 🙂
Some people cannot hang the washing out on the balcony
because pollen will stick to the clothes!
You have a pollen allergy suddenly!

I went on a picnic last weekend with my friends.
This is Sakura tunnel!
So beautiful!!
In this sakura season,most of days wes rainy or cloudy…
But finally we could go on a picnic with bule sky.
I love this contrast sakura pink and blue sky!
My friends made these dishes.
Yummy!
And this is my made.
Pound cake with Sakura flower and green tea.
Sakura flower is on top and green tea with wheat flour dough.
It looks very seasonally appropriate 🙂
Of course, The taste was Fantastic!!!
