Today is…『Sagano senic train』.Sagano is a name of place.

This is a train.

Sagano train is a tourist train about 25 minutes ride leading to Kameoka Tamba
along the Hozu valley to base the Sagano.

Near Arashiyama station,there is 『Bamboo grove road』.

Here is very cool　even in summer!

It is very whimsical.

When you return from Kameyama to Arashiyama,
You can ride 『Hozugawa river boat』.
This is very exciting! and you can back to Togetsukyo.

『Arashiyama』is beautiful place and we can enjoy through the year,
spring,summer,autumn,winter.

This is 『Togetsukyo』(name of bridge).

Japanese lesson

I tell you a useful sentence in Japanese.
Today’s situation is…at the restaurant.

・When you call staff.. in English “Excuse me.”
In Japanese 『sumimasen』Better to say with rise your right or left hand.

・When you order something…(for example beer) “Beer please.”
Japanese 『Beer Onegai-shimasu.』
You can change beer to other things like water,wine,ice cream…etc.

・When you want to say “yummy!” 『Oishii!』
This word make everybody smile!! 🙂

・When you would like to check…”check please”
『Okanjyo onegai shimasu』if you feel difficult 『check onegai shimasu』also fine!

・When you leave the restaurant…”That was great!”
『gochiso sama』

Most of Japanese cannot speak English so if you can speak Japanese only few words,
we feel happy!and we try to speak English!!

The best seat to see Mt.Fuji from train and air

When you travel from Tokyo to Nagoya,Osaka,Kyoto…(from east to west),
or travel from Osaka,Kyoto,Nagoya…to Tokyo(from west to east),
you can see Mt.fuji !

①Bullet train
Both way, from east to west, west to east, please reserve “E” window seat.

②Air is complicated…
Nomally,
・From Haneda to Komatsu, Chubu,Izumo,Fukuoka,Hiroshima,Nagasaki…”A“Left window.

・From Haneda to Osaka,Kansai,Naha,Miyazaki,Kagoshima,Kochi,Tokushima,Ishigaki,Amamioshima,Nanki shirahama,
…”k” Right window
・From Haneda to Kitakyushu,Kumamoto,Matsuyama,Oita,Okayama,Takamatsu,Yamaguchi Ube…
difficult to see because fly right above Mt.Fuji…

From above these airport to Haneda…”A” Left window.

But this is normal situation, up to condition…
I hope you can enjoy beautiful Mt.Fuji from train and air!!

The JAPAN RAIL PASS is offered by the six companies that make up
the Japan Railways Group.
You can go from Hokkaido(north) to Kagoshima (south) by JR!

This ticket is applicable for temporary visitor.
But take care! you can not get on any reserved or non-reserved seat on “NOZOMI”and “MIZUHO”.
These two are bullet train in Japanese “Shinkansen”.
But we have another bullet train like “Hikari” “Kodama” “Sakura”…etc.

It takes about an hour from Haneda airport to Itami(Osaka) airport by airplane.
On the other hand, it takes 3hours from Tokyo to Shinosaka by bullet train “Hikari”.
But you can enjoy the beautiful view from the window.

Next, I will give you a special information, you can to see Mt. Fuji from train and air!

National holiday New year’s day

New Year’s Day is the special holiday for Japanese.
New Year is called “Oshogatsu”.
Family and relatives get together and eat traditional dishes.
Traditional dishes is called “Osechi”
This is Osechi box.

Most Japanese go to a shrine to pray for luck during the new year.

so busy!

From 1st to 3rd of January, most companies and schools is off.
But department stores and other shops are usually open and crowd with customers
because of the first sales of the year!
If you stay in New year’s day in Japan, please try to go shrine and department store.
This is real Japanese culture!

In winter, Japanese eat 『ODEN』.

ODEN is consisting of several ingredients like boiled eggs, daikon radish, konnyaku, and processed fish cakes stewed in a light, soy-flavoured (dashi) soup.
We eat ODEN with Japanese mustard (karashi in Japanese).
You can buy at convenient store.
Oden can warm our body and mind!

must-eat Japanese food 【YAKITORI】

Japanese like 【YAKITORI】.
There are lots of YAKITORI restaurants in Japan and
price is reasonable!!
And the combination of yakitori and beer is very good!

this is yakitori.
YAKI means grilled. TORI means chicken.
Yakitori is made from several bites-sized pieces of chicken,
skewred on a bamboo stick and grilled over a charcoal fire.
Some restaurants served beef and pork also.
chicken thigh,minced chicken,liver,heart,gizzard…

I think about YAKITORI to write this blog…I’d like to eat 🙂

okinawa place to see the aircraft for landing

In Okinawa, there is a plce to see the aircraft for approaching to
Naha airport like princess juliana international airport at St.Martin!!
Pricess juliana airport is known as dangerous airport for pilot? :^)

Okinawa food

When I arrive at Naha airport,　I always go to A&W at airport.
A&W is fast food same as McDonald’s.
A&W has stores only in Okinawa.
A&W
The specialty is the drink 『Rootbeer』.
The name has beer but this is non alcohol.
Almost same as coke but it has some unique taste…
Anyway, my travel in Okinawa cannot start without A&W.
This is my custom.
